Norway Open
June 12 - 15
This weekend we went to Norway with two of "our" horses, Emil Karlssons Cody B Oakies Pride och Malin Engelis Im Boots Too.
Cody started out great as usual by sharing the first place in the SRHA Open, of course after a fine ride!
His next class was the NRHA Intermediate Open where he continued to do great, also one of his first shows ever on one hand, but due to a minor misstake in the pattern unfortunately he got no score on that ride. It happens to all of us.
During the warm up before Saturdays first class, the AQHA Jr Reining, Cody had a small misshap wich caused him to not being able to perform as usual. Wich was also why we chose to cancel his last class of the show to let our masseus take care of him and aim for the coming shows instead.
Malin Engeli and Im Boots Too had a great weekend with several placings, among others they won the Sundays Reining Youth and placed second and other high placings in several of the other reining classes.
Our next show will be the Ranch Horse Classic at High Chaparall where we plan to bring four horses.
SWR Summer Show
6 - 8 juni
Once again we´ve been showing at Grevagården and once again with great success!
Arild Hansen was the first one to show and he was showing his Designers Colonel for the first time. Together they won the Sr Reining!
The next class for us was the AQHA Jr Reining wich was won by the by now pretty well known Cody B Oakies Pride who has won everything he has participated in so far this year! He is owned by Emil Karlsson.
Saturday was started up by Malin Engeli who was showing her Im Boots Too in the Youth Reining where they ended up 5 after a fine ride.
Later that day Arild Hansen made his debute showing his cutting mare Triples Sis and on her he won the cuttin with style! Congratulations!
On Sunday our weekend was completed by Designers Colonel winning the Working Cowhorse after an outstanding ride! He is another horse who has managed to win everything he has been competing in so far this year!
But that´s not all the successes this weekend, several riders and horses trained by and together with us showed this weekend. Malin Torstensson with her Hot Smoking Chick once again had a good weekend, the couple ended up second in the AQHA Jr Reining and "Hottie" started her first Working Cowhorse and did everything You could ask of her. Well done!
Another couple who showed was Johanna with her "Lazy" and the couple ended up 5 in the Ranch Trail.
We are now aiming at Norway Open next weekend where Cody B Oakies Pride and Im Boots
Too will be participating!
May 23 - 25
During this weekends show we brought three of "our" horses, all of them participated with success!
Emil Karlssons Cody B Oakies Pride continues to show his class as he won both the SRHA Open class as well as the AQHA Jr Reining where he was placed first for both judges!
Our Youth rider Malin Engeli with her Im Boots Too did really well and got great placings in several of the Youth reining classes and they also participated with style in some other reining classes, among others the AQHA Jr Reining. The two of them will be a couple to look out for!
Our 4-year old Impressive Pay Dirt continues to be stable in the show ring and with his owner Sofia Gustafsson in the saddle he got placed third in the AQHA Jr Reining, second in the SRHA Non Pro and shared the third place in the Allbreeds Reining Cup. Some results we can be nothing but satisfyed with!
Another couple who has had results from their training here was Malin Torstensson and her Hot Smoking Chick who did really good and among others they got placed 4 in the AQHA Jr Reining!
Once again a great weekend for us, our horses and the riders!

Boots first fole of this season has been born!
This little qutie was born in Töreboda about a week ago.
We hope she will be a little talented baby just like her siblings!

Successful show in Fristad!
The show at Grevagarden the 27:th of April was cancelled but on
the 1:st of May we went to Fristad with some of the horses to train
ourselves and the horses at a smaller show.
Malin Engeli and her horse Im Boots Too participated in several events
and they won almost everything they entered, from reining to pleasure and horsemanship! Congratulations!
Emil Karlsson participated as well with his Cody B Oakies Pride who behaved perfectly fine and the two of them placed second in the Reining AA!
A nice day for us with only the weather leaving a little bit more to wish for. It was raining cats and dogs almost all day!

Some small shows coming up. After the last show the horses got some days well diserved rest after wich we were back training them again. Now we are aiming at some small shows in the upcoming weekends to train some of the horses in the showring aswell. We are probably going to Grevagården on the 27:th of April and to Fristad on the 1:st of May.
We are waiting on some pictures of our performances at the Aprilshow, You will be able to see them here as soon as we get them!
April Open - first placings in Reining, Cowhorse & Cutting!
We have just finished April Open at Grevagården, a great show for us!
On Friday the first of "our" horses to start was Im Boots Too, who with his owner Malin Engeli in the saddle participated in both Novice Youth Reining and Youth Reining where they did really good and ended up third in the Novice Youth!
Saturday started out great with Impressive Pay Dirt winning the Novice Amateur Reining for both judges and things got even better in the Junior Reining where Cody B Oakies Pride came first for both judges and Impressive Pay Dirt got placed third also for both judges. A quiet successful start of this years reining!
The next event of the evening was cutting where newly imported Triples Sis participated and won huge.
Sunday was the day when Designers Colonel made his first entry in Working Cowhorse on Swedish ground and he let everyone know his qualities. He won the class with no less than a 75 score on his cowwork! Impressive Pay Dirt did good aswell in the SRCHA Non Pro Limited class where he ended up 4 for both judges after a mistake in the pattern that lead to no score on the drywork.
In all a very successful weekend for us and our horses!
Two very successful clinics!
Jimmy is now on his way back home after two very appreciated clinics and lots of lessions in between. All the participants have been very satisfied and has been able to gain lots of new knowledge to bring home with them.
In all it has been very rewarding and amusing to have Jimmy here and we hope he will be able to come back again!

Further success!
One of the horses we have been training, TJ, and his owner Lisbeth has had great success at several shows. The two of them has managed to win most events they have participated in, among others reining! Congratulations!

Ranch Horse Classic
June 26 - 29
Swedish Champions in Cutting!
We´re home again after this years Ranch Horse Classic where we participated with success, placings in both cowhorse and cutting and also a Swedish Champion title in cutting!
The weekend started out with the first part of the cutting cup where Arild Hansen participated with his Triples Sis and they got a 68 score.
The next horse to compete was Designers Colonel who after a fine ride placed first in the first part of the cowhorse cup!
Fridays first event for us was the NCHA Cutting Open wich was also a Swedish Championship class and we became Swedish Champions with Triples Sis!
Later that day there was the SRCHA Limited amateur where both Sofia Gustafsson and Impressive Pay Dirt and Malin Engeli and Im Boots Too participated. "Dirty" got placed second and "Little Man" got placed third! Both were doing great.
The Saturday was once again started with cutting for Arild and Triples Sis and they did good.
The next event was the second part of the cowhorse cup and the cup was won by the black little hero Designers Colonel after, as usual, an excellent job.
At Sunday there was only one class for us, the second part of the cutting cup for Arild and Triples Sis.
After some small mistakes they had a lower score in this part but we will be seing more of this couple !
All together a great weekend for us and a very well arranged show!
Cowhorse at the NRHA European Championships
July 11 - 13
This time we went to Bökeberg where we were invited to ride cowhorse during the European Championships. Once again it was Wilbur (Designers Colonel) who made the efforts and as usual he was splended!
All of You who were watching our first go round now know that some cows just arent possible to use for cowhorse wich explains a lower score for us than usual. Wilbur actually had the missfortune to try out two such cows in the same round but of course he did an amazing job despite that!
At saturday, in the second go round, the conditions were a little better for us so we got a chance to really prove ourselves wich also gave us one of the highest scores of the weekend!
We´re glad to once again being able to finish in style and we are satisfyed with our weekend!
This weekends cowhorse was won by Mark Matson, congratulations!
Our next show will be the Sun City Round Up next weekend where we will bring several horses.

Sun City Roundup
July 17 - 20
Malin Engeli och Arild Hansen were the ones who made the efforts this weekend with their horses Im Boots Too and Triples Sis.
Malin participated in several reiningclasses and did good except for some small pattern misstakes. Well rode in spite of that and the two of them will be back!
Arild and Sis won the AQHA Cutting and went home from the show happy!
Nationals
August 7 - 10
Swedish National Champion
Junior Reining!
This years Nationals is now finished and we ended up with many fine placings and one gold medal!
It was the constantly top placed Cody B Oakies Pride who once again showed his skills and won the AQHA Jr Reining wich also made us Swedish National Champion in Jr Reining!
Malin Engeli continues to be successful with her Im Boots Too, this time the two of them ended up 4:th in the SRCHA Non Pro Limited!

Open and Amateur
Cutting and was placed in both classes.
Several riders were here to tune up themselves and their horses prior to the show and they were all successful during the weekend!
Malin Torstensson placed 6 and7 in the AQHA
Jr Reining with her Hot Smoking Chick, Ulf Tullberg and Mister Cute Nic placed 5 in the SRCHA Open Herdwork and Gittan Freter ended up second in the SQHA Breeders Reining and won the
SRCHA Open Limited!
We were of course satisfied with this weekend!

Cody B Oakies Pride & Joakim Petterson makes history!
According to not confirmed information Cody has now as the first nordic Performance Jr horse accieved the heavy record of Superior Reiner!
Cody is born at Western Horsemens Corall in Sweden and started and trained only by us here at Gunnarsgården so we are proud to present the news!
Congratulations also to the owner Emil Karlsson!
